Now, I feel extra guilty, if it's not enough that I had to default due to health problems, this is the first exchange ever, where I got a treat too. But enough about my dark mood, here, have some great femslash! :)

The news has been out for weeks.

Anyone who knows me knows I JUST LOVE SUPERHEROES, and oh god, did this story deliver. It's about a bittersweet relationships between two lovers with different views about what it means to be a hero. (I note that I love that the 'villain' in this story isn't a clichéd villain, but a sort of anti-hero.)

I wanted to do an amazingly long rec list, but... but... I have only a few ships. So without further ado:

Falling (5107 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 3/3
Fandom: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Jemma Simmons/Grant Ward, Leo Fitz/Grant Ward, Leo Fitz & Jemma Simmons
Characters: Jemma Simmons, Grant Ward, Leo Fitz
Additional Tags: Secret Relationship, Multiple Relationships, Fluff and Angst, Not A Fix-It
Summary: Grant Ward does his best to prove he's everybody's type.

What can I say? It's perfect. :) It has both my ships and a hint of poly and while the first two chapter is lighthearted fun about how they got together, it delivers a gut punch at the end, which takes place after the finale. I just adored everything: it has my favorite tropes (training, I can never get enough of the training with awkward feelings and sexual tension trope) and it's very emotional. It has an open, ambiguous ending, but that's part of the reason why it's so good.

What Was, What Could Be and What Should Have Never Been (1770 words) by Anonymous
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)
Rating: Not Rated
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Leo Fitz/Grant Ward
Characters: Leo Fitz, Grant Ward, Jemma Simmons, Phil Coulson
Additional Tags: Angst
Summary: Grant Ward was not a part of the team, not really. But they didn’t know that and sometimes even he forgot.
It's another angst-y FitzWard fic, and this is why I love rare ship fests, because let's be honest, the AoS fandom is filled with fluffy AUs which are totally not my cup of tea. So it was a refreshingly canon-compliant take on unresolved FitzWard feelings. It's an interesting read because the dual POV's and the two different kind of tone represents so well Fitz and Ward's differences. Lovely and heartbreaking.

The usual round-up post from the current porn battle.

Note: I haven't read them all, these are just my ships.

The list... )
